Jerrell Powe, a former defensive lineman for the NFL, has been charged with kidnapping.
Police in Ridgeland, Mississippi, detained Powe, 35, on Thursday.
At 7.31 p.m. local time, Powe was booked into the Madison County detention center.
Following his arrest, the Ridgeland police department also made available a picture of the former nose tackle.
The inmate report contained no information regarding the bond.
WMC-TV, a local NBC affiliate, reports that police came across Powe in Ridgeland, where they arrested him and an accomplice.
